The logo is without doubt one of the most powerful tool to sell a game, but to make one you'll need patience, time, and knowledge about graphism. I will show you the progression of the logo of Arrow Time, made with no particular graphic skills, just some basic understanding of the tools. This is not a tutorial, just the process we used.
NB : If you are not a professional graphist, you will struggle with professional tools because you probably haven't used these tools long enough to master them. But you're lucky, there is a lot of great tutorial for Gimp, Photoshop and any tools you want to use (except paint, please don't do this).
First step : The font
Every game has a name around you want to communicate. The first step is to choose a font suiting your needs. Do you need a cartoon font? a sci-fi font? Even if you plan to make your own font, don't start from scratch, find a base for your font. Dafont is a great website with tons of free fonts!
Personnal advice : pick at least 3/4 fonts and never use 100% saturated colors. Don't pick a pure white or a pure black for example.
Our first patch is available! We've added 9 Steam achievements, 3 per mini-game! We plan to add harder achievements in the future but we first want to see how good you are so go unlock them! ;)
We've also added a Steam leaderboard per mini-game. It allows you to compete for the best score! Results are only showing up on Steam for now but we are working on an in-game leaderboard integration!

This week, we've been working on the integration of Steam achievements and leaderboards to Entropic Shop VR, and the least we can say is that it wasn't an easy task! Some of you may have noticed some achievements appeared and disappeared on Steam, as a result of our unsuccessful and frustrating tests. But it doesn't matter now, because we finally managed to make everything work and Steam achievements and leader boards will be part of Entropic Shop's next update!
The leaderboards (one per mini game), will allow you to track your high score and compete with players all around the world.
The update will also patch a couple of minor bugs. If everything goes according to our plans, it should go live Monday or Tuesday next week (February the 26th or 27th).

Why do we use stats in our game? First of all, we want to make a simple and fun game with a lot of place for player improvements. Specific statistics of each player are a smart solution to add an extra objective of a game, but these must be relevant.
These are the current stats of our Archery VR game Arrow Time :
These stats are displayed to the player after winning each level and are connected to Steam achievements and leaderboards aswell.
What's next ?
These stats are missing something important. In archery, the precision is important as it depends of the shot distance. We will add some statistics about the average hit distance, the longest hit and the longest critical hit.
These new statistics will help us calculate a global score of the player, conform to his real archery level. This score will be perfect for a leaderboard !
The current display of the stats is also going to evolve, according to the stats improvements.

Ready to shoot arrows? It's Arrow Time!
As you may know, we make VR Games. This one is a lowpoly and humoristic archery VR game, where you defend your base from ridiculous enemies. But don't let their apparent stupidity fool you, the difficulty is real for anyone trying to play in hard mode.
At Big Horn Studio, we love archery games and wanted to make one with our own ideas. We had to develop a good and realistic archery physic. We put a lot of efforts into the bow, trying to make shooting and drawing feelings as realistic as possible and I'd say we nailed it!
As we love stupid and crazy things, we went straight into it and turned the lowpoly characters into ragdoll and added some secret features you can unlock in game.
We are still working on the game but it will be available soon on steam and for free.
